Privacy Policy

VibeWalk uses activity data only for app functionality: quests, achievements, points, coins and notifications about new rewards.

Apple Health
- The app reads only daily aggregates: steps, walking/running distance, flights climbed and active energy.
- VibeWalk does not write data to Apple Health.
- Raw Health samples are not uploaded to the backend. iOS aggregates values by local day and sends daily snapshots.
Photos and Achievement Sharing
- The user can choose a photo from the device to create a story image for an earned achievement.
- The photo is processed locally on the device and is not uploaded to the backend or Crashlytics.
- The generated image is saved to Photos only after the user explicitly asks to save it.
Public Leaderboard
- When Public profile is enabled, the leaderboard can show display name, achievement points and total steps.
- Public profile is enabled by default and can be turned off in profile settings.
- Email, Google provider id, Apple provider id, auth tokens, raw Health samples and detailed sync metadata are not shown publicly.
Friends
- Each user has a random 6-character friend ID.
- A user who knows your friend ID can add you to their friends list and view friend-profile data in the app.
- Public profile still controls only public website and leaderboard visibility; friend-profile is visible to the user who added you even when Public profile is off.
Notifications
- Notifications are used only for new achievements, legendary achievements and, when enabled, completed daily/weekly quests.
- Notifications are not used for ads, marketing or tracking.
- Notifications can be disabled in iOS Settings or in the VibeWalk profile settings.
Support
- If the user sends a website support request, the backend stores email, optional name, request type and message text.
- IP address and user agent are also stored as technical spam protection and abuse-diagnostics metadata.
- An admin can leave an internal comment on the request; MVP does not automatically send a reply to the user.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Raw Apple Health samples.
- Geolocation, routes, GPS tracks or precise places.
- Contacts, microphone, camera, advertising identifiers or data for tracking people across apps and websites.
Retention and Account Deletion
- Account/profile/settings, Health aggregates, campaign totals and completions are stored until the user deletes the account.
- On account deletion, the backend removes the user, tokens, settings, Health aggregates, lifetime/category totals, campaign sessions, completions, pending sync operations and user audit rows.
- Apple Health data remains in Apple Health. The user manages it in iOS Settings and the Health app.
How To Disable Access
- Apple Health: iOS Settings -> Health -> Data Access & Devices -> VibeWalk.
- Notifications: iOS Settings -> Notifications -> VibeWalk, or the in-app profile notification settings.
- Public leaderboard: VibeWalk profile settings -> Public profile.
- Google account access: Google Account security settings and the app logout/delete account flow.
App Store Notes
